Hip Hip Hooray-leave it to the Masons to save the day! That’s right folks Breathitt County’s very own Mason Lodge 649 donated our Sebastian Family Resource Center bags of hygiene /clothing items for our students. Our FRC only distributes new socks & underwear to students in accidents /emergencies. These fine Masons made sure we were stocked for a little while. Pictured is Jessie Bailey-Sebastian’s Assistant Principal, Kenneth Wayne Patrick-Mason Ms. Genevieve-Sebastian Resource Director, Anthony Holbrook-Mason, and Mackie Richardson Jr-Mason. Thank you to these outstanding community supporters for all that you do to support our future leaders of tomorrow!  Go Bobcats!!!

Last week our school celebrated Read Across America Week.  During this special week of activities, our classes were challenged to participate in a door decorating contest.  Each door was judged based on a rubric that included originality, student involvement, and creativity.  Congratulations to Mrs. Rose’s second grade class for coming in second place and to Mrs. Smith’s third grade class for winning the competition.  Each teacher and class was rewarded with prizes.  The first two doors were the winning doors and they are showcased in the pictures below, but we also wanted to highlight  the work of the other classes that participated in the competition by showcasing their doors as well.  Go Bobcats!!!
